An amazing terrace to admire the beauty of the
gorge of Arbaiun, a deep canyon dug by the river Salazar in the limestone rock of the Sierra of Leire. It is almost 6 miles long and has 100-foot-deep vertical rock walls. It is a paradise for birdwatchers; at almost any moment you can see vultures (it has the
biggest colony of griffon vulture in Navarra), golden eagles, Lammergeiers, etc.
The viewpoint, located at the roadside, has explanatory panels. We also recommend a visit to
the Interpretation Centre of the Gorge of Lumbier, where you will find interactive information on a number of paths, the flora and fauna and culture of the Pyrenean gorges.
