The route commences in Oieregi
, and the first part goes to the beautiful town square of Legasa, surrounded by huge traditional houses.
The route starts in the pretty square at Legasa
, surrounded by enormous stone houses. It then links up with the river Bidasoa through thick woods as far as Doneztebe-Santesteban
. This section is often used by motor vehicles and livestock, so one needs to take extra care here. Before reaching Sunbilla
the route goes through 3 tunnels surrounded by leafy woods.
Heading for Bera
, and parallel to the N-121-A road, you pass the old railways stations of Igantzi
, although nothing is left of them. A bunker from the Spanish Civil War is preserved here. In Bera its beautiful old part is the highlight, from where the route narrows between the river and the steep slopes of the pre-Pyrenees as far as Endarlatsa.
