If you'd like to travel back in time, then Villava is the place for you.  On the one hand, you can enjoy exploring the beautiful hermitage of the Trinidad de Arre with its medieval bridge spanning the river Ultzama, a witness to the host of pilgrims making their way to Santiago. On the other hand, the fulling mill or Batán, an iconic building which started out in the Middle Ages as a flour mill, then a fulling mill and, today, it is a museum and awareness-raising centre for the Arga River Park.

As is to be expected, each year, the inhabitants of this town on the Santiago Way, located just a step away from Pamplona, hold an Olde Market, dressed in their medieval costumers and with a large number of stalls selling craft work and Navarre-grown food to commemorate the booming commercial activity and old trades of the past.

Herbs, ointments, pottery, toys, etc. workshops for glass blowing, pottery and traditional games with wooden toys for the kids, are just some of the attractions organised for this event. The procession of giants and bigheads, and the pipers, txistularis (Basque flute players) and dultzaineros (double reed players), will also be present at the festival and will go round the streets of the town in a lively kalejira (music through the streets).
