Once a year the town of Isaba becomes the scene that represents part of its history by showing the way the valley folk dressed through the ages. You can see all the best-known costumes that have ever existed in the Roncal valley…. for a convinced bachelor, an engaged or recently married woman, a shepherd, a Cagot…

Every year the day is dedicated to a historical event from the valley's past. People in traditional dress walk through the town, re-enacting a wide variety of historical scenes: the trial of two witches in Isaba in the 14th century; the arrival of the royal cortege in 1512, the burning of the town in 1813 by Napoleon's troops or the recreation of a 19th century wedding ceremony.
