BALUARTE, Congress Centre and Auditorium of Navarre, is ideal for any type of event, whatever its size, characteristics and number of participants.

BALUARTE provides a wide range of options, from business/product and service presentations to trade fairs, congresses, prize-giving ceremonies, product launches, exhibitions, graduation ceremonies, or seminars for specific sectors.

The centre, built by the Government of Navarre and inaugurated in 2003, was designed by the Navarrese architect Patxi Mangado. He designed BALUARTE as a linear building of moderate height. On the outside it is lined with dark grey granite slabs from Zimbabwe, and beech and tropical wood is used for the interior linings. In contrast with the glass façade that gives on the square, the side that overlooks the Citadel is stony and strong.

It is located in the centre of Pamplona and covers a surface area of 63,000 m2 in the busiest shopping and leisure zone of the city. The L-shaped building has four levels underground, two of them for public car parking, and overlooks a pedestrian square of 10,000 square metres. Its excellent location is rounded off by the fact that it acts as a link between the Old Part and the walled area of the Citadel, a 17th-century fortress that is now the site of one the largest parks in the city.

Baluarte's main Auditorium has capacity for 1,568 spectators. A Chamber Music Hall with capacity for 444 people is ideal for medium-sized meetings or congresses, cultural activities and small-scale concerts. The building has 4,800 m2 set aside for other events and exhibitions.

Congresses usually take place in the 'Ciudadela' and 'Luneta' halls, which can accommodate up to 800 people. The centre has a modular design, so it can adapt to a required capacity. Other smaller areas, such as the Conference Rooms, a hall for exhibitions and receptions and a restaurant with capacity for 125 diners, make up the main areas of Baluarte, the home to culture and congresses in the very heart of Pamplona.
